"After Curtain Call"

The Pilipino/a/x American Experience in Higher Education Through Pilipino/x Cultural Night (PCN)

My final research project for the class ASAMST 20AC (Asian American Communities and Race Relations), where I analyzed the complexities and “double standard” of the Pilipino/a/x American experience as folks are involved with PCN through identity formation, political stance, and neoliberalism in education.

IN PROGRESS: May 2024 - present

[2] Composed the show's script with a collaborative writing team by integrating our personal insights with Pilipinx American themes, history, and politics.

[3] Researched Philippine cultural dances and was responsible for choreographing and staging four cultural dances to integrate within the script. Completed by collaborating with local Bay Area Philippine dance companies. 

[4] Helped PCN Producers and Creative Team members in the management and organization of the show!

UC Berkeley's Pilipinx American Alliance (PAA) 

PAA Board 54 - Pilipinx American History & Politics (PAHP) Chair 

[1] Organized and revived the annual "Sproul Visibility Day" on campus, an event in October during Pilipinx American History Month (PAHM) to celebrate the Pilipinx community at UC Berkeley!

[2] Started an archive of UC Berkeley's PAA Board and PCN Creative Teams using Google Sheets, meant for folks to reach out to their predecessors and retain PAA history.
